Power Electronics Engineer − Kyle, TX

This job opportunity is for an experienced power electronics engineer with a thorough and detailed understanding of a wide variety of power electronics systems and issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design of three phase grid-tie inverters.
• Design of battery-charging circuitry.
• Design of high efficiency, high power magnetic and filters.
• Adequate understanding of EMI related design issues and appropriate Federal regulations.
• Capability to perform and/or oversee laboratory high power testing in excess of 1MW.
• Knowledge of battery technology.
• Experience writing specifications.
• Adequate understanding of alternate energy technologies.
• Experience modeling and simulating Power Systems.

Qualifications / Experience:

The job opportunity is for an advanced technical, non-management position. Applicant’s background requires a B.S. engineering degree, MSEE preferred, with 7-10 years minimum work experience in power electronics.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent resident.
